Each Friday we have a tradition of making our own homemade pizzas. We have found this to be a special tradition as we have joined two family recipes and made it our own. The dough we get from my family, and the sauce from Stephen’s. With permission, we’re sharing our sauce recipe.
Ingredients:
- 6oz. Tomato Paste
- 16oz. Tomato Sauce
- 1Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 1Tbsp. Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Marjoram
- Glop of minced garlic (about 2Tbsp.)
- Salt & Pepper
- Honey or Sugar to taste
Simply put your ingredients in a bowl, mix them together, and spread onto your pizza dough. This recipe generally makes enough for three pizzas. The sauce freezes very well, so don’t worry if you make more than you need for one evening.
Yummm! Makes me want to get my pizza stone out! I think the descriptive work “glop” is perfect.
