First Glance: Psalm 130

“Out of the depths, I cry to you, O Lord,

Lord, hear my voice.” (Psalm 130:1)

While ‘First Glance’ is usually the place where we briefly reflect on the bible passage for the upcoming week, I thought we’d do something a little different this week. Psalm 130 is a fantastic and deep psalm, but also one I’ve already reflected on for the daily devotionals at Words of Hope. Check it out and let me know your thoughts by commenting below.

  1. “In His words I put my hope ” makes me think of all the persecuted Christians, this must be precious words for them and the last line gives so much hope for the Jewish people. Yes we can always pray this Psalm for ourselves (the cry for forgiveness)
    and others too

    1. Yes, I agree. I was thinking the same thing when I read it. We have so many Christian brothers and sisters who are currently crying from out of the depths. This psalm brings hope as well.
