“Out of the depths, I cry to you, O Lord,
Lord, hear my voice.” (Psalm 130:1)
While ‘First Glance’ is usually the place where we briefly reflect on the bible passage for the upcoming week, I thought we’d do something a little different this week. “In His words I put my hope ” makes me think of all the persecuted Christians, this must be precious words for them and the last line gives so much hope for the Jewish people. Yes we can always pray this Psalm for ourselves (the cry for forgiveness)
and others too

Yes, I agree. I was thinking the same thing when I read it. We have so many Christian brothers and sisters who are currently crying from out of the depths. This psalm brings hope as well.
